The casino at a glance
View Royal Casino was the name when the doors first opened in 2001. An expansion in 2018 brought the new name Elements Casino Victoria. Petroglyph Development Group (PDG), wholly owned by Snuneymuxw First Nation, owns the casino. Its purchase from Great Canadian closed on January 16, 2025. Lahal Casino Management LP, PDG's casino management arm, runs it.
Its building stands in the Town of View Royal, west of downtown Victoria, though the postal address says Victoria. Each zone on the card keeps its own hours, all in Pacific time; British Columbia stays on it year-round and does not change clocks in autumn.

Age and ID at the door
Entry is open only to guests aged 19 and up, the age at which gambling becomes legal in British Columbia. Every guest shows government-issued photo ID on entry. Security scans that ID and compares it with the register of people not allowed inside, a step every B.C. casino has taken since June 26, 2023. For people let in, the system saves no personal information. The casino's event booklet asks guests aged 19 to 25 for a second piece of valid ID.
Online play in British Columbia
Legal gambling in British Columbia must be run by the provincial government. Inside BC, only PlayNow.com, operated by BCLC, may legally offer online gambling. The Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) has regulated gambling throughout the province since April 13, 2026. Anyone under 19 is barred from casino and online gambling alike; 19 is the minimum age.
Its home page is where this guide places paid links, each carrying an Ad label. Those links open a privately run online casino, which British Columbia does not regulate. This guide earns its commission from that partner, which could later be replaced by another one. None of it is connected with Elements Casino Victoria.
